Join ULI Young Leaders and real estate investor James Lifshutz on Wednesday June 19th for a “sneak peek” tour of his newest development, “The South Side.” Sustainably repurposed from a long-abandoned warehouse, the South Side studios feature 65 units with a clean industrial ethos, designed to create better living, healthier energy and a more connected presence. This 59,000 square-foot long-abandoned warehouse has been masterfully transformed by the award-winning team at Alamo Architects.

The South Side living spaces offer abundant re-purposed and industrial features in the 65 one-bedroom + studio apartments with an uncomplicated vibe, ranging from 450 to 900 square feet. Lifshutz will share his passion for the south side of the city and how this project materialized. Designed to create better living, healthier energy and a more connected presence, it’s located just north of the historic Mission San Jose and feet away from the San Antonio River hike & bike trail. The South Side offers easy access to Blue Star and South Town nightlife, via the river, ride
    share and public transit.

True to its roots, the South Side encourages creativity and offers maker-spaces and an in-house gallery space. Guests can check out the debut installation curated by Jeff Wheeler and Justin Parr + Flight Gallery, which opens that evening. Running from 5:30-8pm, the South Side evening tours will feature bites, beverages and music.
