    Chelsey Rives
    Chelsey, founder of Volcano Heart, helps clients in non-profits, corporations, government and educational institutions, use their voices with confidence, agency and autonomy. She has a wealth of experience as a professional commercial, voiceover, and theater actress, as well as a teacher in various public, private, community, and higher education institutions. Chelsey’s work as a house parent at a residential treatment center for children, a direct care worker at a home for pregnant and parenting teen mothers, and volunteer work at women's shelters and refugee resettlement programs have made her sensitive to the needs of people who have undergone significant struggle and/or suffered trauma. Her lived experience combined with her academic training in drama therapy and research in neuroscience, have shaped her understanding of the nervous system's role in regulating stress responses and how we connect with the world. Chelsey earned her undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and her master’s degree from the Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University. She also studied at the Moscow Art Theater and London Academy of Theater.
