    The story of the Alamo is world renowned and represents the core of Texas’ identity today. Join ULI San Antonio's Women’s Leadership Initiative on Wednesday, September 20, to learn more about the ongoing effort to restore dignity and reverence to this sacred historic site.

    Kate Rogers, Executive Director of the Alamo Trust, Inc (ATI) will share the latest progress on the comprehensive Alamo Plan, and cover priorities such as preservation of the 300-year-old Church and Long Barrack, recapturing the original mission site and battlefield footprint and the creation of a world-class Visitor Center and Museum to tell the full history of the site. Attendees will also have the chance to visit the new Ralston Family Collections Center and refreshments will be served.

    Dr. Kate Rogers currently serves as the Executive Director of the Alamo Trust, the non-profit organization responsible for the daily operations of the Alamo historic site and the implementation of the $400 million Alamo Master Plan.

    The first new building associated with the plan – The Ralston Family Collections Center - opened to the public on March 3rd, 2023. During her tenure at the Trust, Kate has successfully kicked off the statewide fundraising campaign with $47 million raised to date, recruited several key staff members, and completed the acquisition of the Donald and Louise Yena Spanish Colonial Collection.
    Prior to her time at the Alamo, she served as the Vice President of Community Outreach and Engagement at the Charles Butt Charitable Foundation. Kate graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Texas Christian University and received her Masters of Public Affairs degree from the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. She recently earned her Doctor of Education degree from the University of Southern California.
