Corrina’s Q&A
What is your favorite thing about being in Real Estate?
The ability to create a beautiful space for people to live, work or play and impact our built environment to be more equitable, providing opportunity through our built spaces.
What is your favorite city (other than SA) and why?
Philadelphia. It is the city where I learned architecture and fell in love with my husband.
What are some things you like to do when you’re not working in real estate?
Drive teenagers around the state to ensure they are living their best life, play with my almost 2-year-old golden retriever, volunteer with Chicktime and my church, and I also love to run or exercise.
Share one disruption that you think will change real estate in the coming years.
Hopefully the focus to build more equitable spaces will disrupt the way we’ve been building and force us to engage more with community members and really truly seek to understand and care about the needs of the people we are building for.
What is your favorite thing about ULI?
The people – the ULI is filled with people who genuinely care about helping those around them.
Over your two-year term as Chair, what is the one thing you’d like to accomplish?
Build a culture of collaboration in our city through connecting ULI with other real estate focused organizations.
Share something interest that our members might not know about you.
I taught myself how to decorate cakes and opened a small business back in 2008 called “Cakes by Corrina”. It became way too much work for a weekend side gig, so I stopped selling cakes- but every once and a while I’ll make one for a friend or family member.
