This underserved market segment, that is highlighted in a June 2020 report by ULI’s Terwilliger Center and RCLCO: Family Rental Housing: A Response to the Changing Growth Dynamics of the Next Decade, is getting a lot of attention from developers and investors  around the country.     Todd LaRue

    Todd joined RCLCO in 2004 and leads their Austin, Texas office. Todd manages and directs engagements for developers, landowners, investors, and public sector entities seeking strategic development, investment, and/or planning advice regarding their real estate. His work is focused on providing strategic guidance for master-planned communities, high-rise mixed-use developments, resorts, and other complex, multi-use, large-scale land use challenges. For these engagements, he conducts highest and best use analyses, market opportunity analyses, consumer research, economic development assessments, financial analyses, fiscal impact analyses, metropolitan growth trends analyses, and various other analytical tasks to help guide clients’ planning decisions and development strategies.
     
    Prior to joining RCLCO, Todd’s professional career includes over seven years of experience in construction management with Skanska in Atlanta, GA and W. H. Bass, Inc. in Norcross, GA. Much of his work was concentrated on managing ground-up construction projects in retail, banking, education, and telecommunication as well as interior build-outs of high-rise office buildings. He received his Master of Business Administration (finance and real estate) from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, serving on ULI Austin’s Advisory Board and the Community Development Council (CDC-Black), and has been a guest speaker/lecturer/panelist at numerous real estate industry events and universities.
     
    Pratik Sharma

    Pratik Sharma is Managing Director at Bridge Tower Partners, one of the largest private single-family rental (SFR) asset managers in the U.S. Mr. Sharma is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.
     
    Mr. Sharma started his career in asset management as co-founder of Atyant Capital Management, an India focused hedge fund. As co-founder and Managing Director at Atyant, Mr. Sharma was solely responsible for growing a start-up hedge fund by over $350 million in capital. While at the firm, Mr. Sharma managed the research development team, marketing and relationship management systems and processes to service an investor base of U.S. University endowments and family offices.
     
    Throughout his career, Mr. Sharma has delved into all aspects of the asset management industry and specializes in establishing and maintaining institutional relationships. Calling upon this wealth of experience, Mr. Sharma will scale an existing Single Family Rental portfolio of 2000+ units through the development of institutional partnerships, JVs and strategic acquisitions in his role as Managing Director with Bridge Tower Partners.

    Johnny has been in the financial services industry since 2002 and has focused his career on developing relationships in order to help his clients achieve both their short and long term financial goals.
     
    Johnny is a 2002 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he received his Masters degree in Finance and was a Graduate Assistant baseball coach from 2000-2002. He earned a BBA in Economics from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1999 while playing baseball for UTSA from 1995-1999. Prior to joining Chicago Title Company, Johnny was a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch and a Vice President with Lehman Brothers in the Small Business Finance division focused on commercial real estate finance
