ABOUT DEVELOPER SHARK TANK
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) of San Antonio proudly presents the 2018 Developer Shark Tank, an interactive event that aims to entertain, educate, advise, and empower aspiring real estate developers. This year’s event will be held on September 17 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center as part of the Mayor’s Housing Summit.
Developer Shark Tank brings together aspiring real estate developers, veterans in the real estate community, and a group of investors seeking real investment opportunities. Two (2) submission will be selected as finalists and asked to present their proposal to the Sharks, a four-member expert panel of real estate thought leaders, on Monday, September 17 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The Sharks, in front of an real estate audience, will analyze projects using the same methodologies used in a closed-door investment committee meeting. The opportunity to receive collective feedback from this panel of experts is invaluable. Presenters will gain the tools to fine tune their proposals, polish their presentation skills and, with any luck, catch an investor! New for 2018: The Sharks will devote one-hour of their professional time to a one on one meeting with the presenter(s) after the event has concluded. The fiery feedback and quick wit of the Sharks will challenge, often frustrate and educate presenters, all with the end goal of providing constructive feedback to San Antonio’s future city builders.
ULI is soliciting real estate investment proposals from local entrepreneurs to be pitched at this year’s ULI San Antonio Developer Shark Tank.
