The City of San Antonio Neighborhood and Housing Services Department is seeking RFI’s for the 2017-2022 Neighborhood Improvements Bond Program.
The purpose of this Request for Information is to enable the City of San Antonio Neighborhood and Housing Services Department and the Office of Urban Redevelopment San Antonio (“OurSA”) to gather input from residents, neighborhood/homeowner associations, real estate professionals, and developers regarding potential properties for acquisition by the City of San Antonio that would be suitable sites for the development of affordable/Workforce Housing in the identified and approved Neighborhood Improvement Areas consistent with the City Council adopted 2017 San Antonio Urban Renewal Plan, the SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan, and the voter approved 2017-2022 Bond Program.
The Neighborhood Improvement Bond funds will be used to facilitate private sector and/or non-profit development of single-family, multi-family or mixed-use affordable/Workforce Housing consistent with the 2017 San Antonio Urban Renewal Plan, adopted by City Council on February 2, 2017. The City will not build housing but rather will use non-profit and private sector housing developers to build affordable/Workforce Housing.
RFI’s are due to the City of San Antonio by April 6, 2018.
